What students should do now
Grade 5 Scholarship candidates
Use 1 August 2027 as the main planning date. Parents and teachers can divide the remaining preparation time between syllabus work, practice papers and revision without placing unnecessary pressure on children.
G.C.E. A/L candidates
The A/L examination period is scheduled from 3 to 28 August 2027. Plan to complete the syllabus early enough to leave a separate period for timed papers, marking and revision of weaker areas.
GIT candidates
The General Information Technology Examination is scheduled for 24 October 2027. Candidates should follow their school’s instructions and watch for the official examination notice and detailed guidance.
G.C.E. O/L candidates
The O/L examination is scheduled from 7 to 17 December 2027. A realistic study plan should prioritise unfinished syllabus areas first, followed by past-paper practice under timed conditions.
A simple preparation checklist
- Record the relevant examination date in a family or study calendar.
- List the remaining syllabus areas subject by subject.
- Set monthly completion targets instead of trying to plan the entire year in detail.
- Include timed past-paper practice and time to review mistakes.
- Follow only official notices for applications, admission cards, centres and timetable changes.
