BrightNook.lk is an independent, privately run education information website. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the Department of Examinations Sri Lanka, the Ministry of Education, the University Grants Commission (UGC), any university, the Public Service Commission, or any other government body or institution. Our name, logo and design are our own and are not official government branding.
Many of our articles summarise, explain or translate information that was first published by official bodies — for example exam timetables, results announcements, circulars, gazette notices, course calls and job vacancies. Whenever we do this, we name the original source and, where possible, link to the official page or document so you can verify it yourself.
Where we provide past papers or other official documents, they are shared for educational and reference purposes only. Copyright in those documents remains with the issuing authority. If you are a rights holder and would like a document removed or credited differently, please contact us at info@brightnook.lk and we will act promptly.
We work carefully to keep our information accurate and up to date, but dates, fees, eligibility rules, vacancy numbers and procedures can change after we publish, and errors can happen. Before you apply for anything, pay any fee, or make a decision about exams, admissions or jobs, please confirm the details with the official institution or the original notice. The official notice always takes priority over anything written on BrightNook.lk.
BrightNook.lk does not process applications, collect exam fees, issue results, or offer jobs. We will never ask you for your NIC number, exam index number, passwords, bank details or payment in exchange for results, admissions or jobs. If anyone contacts you claiming to represent BrightNook.lk and asks for these, please treat it as a scam and report it to us.
Our articles may link to external websites, including government portals and university sites. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.
BrightNook.lk may display advertisements, including ads served by Google AdSense, to cover the cost of running the website. Advertisements are provided by third parties and do not mean that we endorse the advertised product or service. Advertising never influences what we publish about exams, results, scholarships or vacancies. See our Privacy Policy for how advertising cookies are used.
The guidance on this website (for example study tips or course-selection explainers) is general information for students, parents and job seekers. It is not a substitute for advice from your school, teachers, university admissions office or a qualified career counsellor.
If you notice an error or outdated information, please tell us through our Contact page or at info@brightnook.lk. We review every correction request and update articles when needed.
We share Sri Lanka education updates, results, downloads & opportunities.
