Who runs BrightNook

BrightNook.lk was founded and is edited by Mohamed Suhail, a Sri Lankan engineer (B.Tech in Mechatronics Engineering, Uva Wellassa University) who has spent more than twelve years working in engineering and technical roles. Having gone through the Sri Lankan O/L, A/L and university system himself, he started BrightNook to give students and families one clear, trustworthy place to find exam, results, course and opportunity updates in plain language.

How we prepare our content

Official sources first. Every exam, results, circular, admissions or vacancy article is based on the original notice from the issuing body — such as the Department of Examinations, the Ministry of Education, universities or the Gazette — and we link to that source wherever possible.
Explained, not just copied. We summarise who a notice applies to, key dates, fees and steps, and add practical guidance so readers understand what to do next.
Written in your language. We publish genuinely written content in English, Sinhala and Tamil rather than only re-posting PDF files.
Checked and updated. When dates or details change, we update the article and show the updated information clearly.
Safety first. We remind readers never to share NIC numbers, index numbers or passwords in comments or with unofficial parties.

Corrections policy

If you spot an error, an outdated date or a broken link, please email info@brightnook.lk or use our Contact page. We review every report and correct confirmed mistakes as quickly as possible.

Independence and advertising

BrightNook.lk is independent and is not an official government website. The site may show advertising to cover running costs; advertisers have no influence over our articles. Read our Disclaimer, Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions for details.

Disclaimer

BrightNook is an independent information platform. We are not affiliated with any government institution, university, examination department, or educational authority. While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information, users are encouraged to verify important announcements through official sources.
